Music camp feelings plus movie... ; 4:22 PM

Yo, back for more about Music camp.... And after thinking it through... I felt that I should leave the rest of the people from the previvous post that would be mention on this one out, due to unforseen circumstances.. Though so, pop me a message anytime your free :):)...

Anyway, its time to talk about the camp and its peices...Now the camp conductor was none other than Mr. Quek Ling Kong, the SYCO conductor.. Learnt quite a bit from him about interpretation of music, modern movement of music in both the chinese music industry and the westrn music industry.. Anyway, he too mention about the importance of passion in music and explained in a clear manner the explanation of techniques and beats (9/8 comparing it to triplets)... Well, quite nice guy... last year teaching in music camp so all the way man!!

Now the songs...

Nan Yun
A New Local Composition by Mr Lim, it combines his personal wants in the songs plus depending heavily on the "Nan ying" or known as the Southern melody. This is based on the main accompliment of the pipa and main solos by the dizi. The song also emphasizes on the various notes of each major namely the "6", "3", "4", "7" (Chinese scores)...
Nice song, but I always scerw up bowing (due to matching of the gao hu people)... And has a repeating melody thus not really making it one of my fav. pieces..

Liang li ying qiao
A shorter name for a long name song... I love its various changes in tempo and theme in the song.. It includes triplets, chromatic scale and a decent melody.. Lovely piece....

Yin shui si yuan
A song with changes in melody, firstly starts off with a depressing tune which saddens hearts before going on to a more up-beat pace... The melody is difficult to master in the beginning of the peice as the composer wants to bring out the cry of the people, and I must say the people who played the melody really made it quite nice..... Then it changed to a more techno type of peice as the percussionists were playing like a techno tempo beat... Quite cool...
Nice piece....

Ji Liu

1st Movement: wen tian
It places the whole movement of Ji Liu in a very sad and helpless manner with various instrument repeating a common melody before it comes to the panio solo and that, all that, really hits me in the heart and makes emotions flow... And finally there's an erhu solo to end of the peice....
Beautiful song, my personal fav....

2nd and 3rd movement: zheng hai and yo long si shui
Basically its two songs with two different themes each with its own focus... Not really as nice as the first, but hey, there must be constrast in the pieces, right?

4th Movement: Chuan deng
Nice song and melody and had to sing out the song..... Nice song

Well, thats about that.... Oh before I end off I would like to warn the people visting that there might be crappy tags... Do not be alarmed, these are just my friends that might also use the links to place crappy tags on your tag-boards... I doubt you know them but they are Min Yang and Ian Yang... So if you see like my name with really, really crappy comments... Well, will try best to prevent that!! Sorry for the trouble... :P

Music camp + High school musical rockeD!!
